Connector: I relate Stanely and Zero to people that I have seen on TV that never give and don't stop trying.

Do you think zero will survive and stanley to the top of the mountain?

What would happened  if Zero died and Stanley survived?

Who had more chance of dieing Stanley or Zero when walking up the mountain?

When Zero gave thumps up to Stanely to say he was fine was he actually fine?

Why was Stanley so desperate to get to the top of the mountain?

Their was a new boy the came to group D X-ray called him twitch. He had been arrested for stealing a car. Twitch asked caveman do we really have to get up at four. Stanley heard Mrs Sir say you won't be twitching anymore after you dig all these holes. Stanley was thinking about if Zero wasn't dead after all. Stanley felt his fingers twitch when he saw the ignition of the water truck. He flung open the door and jumped in the truck. When he felt a big jolt and the truck came to a stop. He was in a hole.

He walked a bit and then he stood over a hole their was a yellow spotted lizard. He began to run as fast as he could to he could not see the hole any more. Then in the distance he saw a pool of water about a hundred yards away he began to walk faster but the pool kept going feather away he relised that it was the sunlight shining on the dirt.

Jo - Connector - I related Zero with many children in the world that doesn't have parents and that live on the side of the street.

I think the Mary lou reminded me of the fishing boats in a small town called Arniston were their is a little harbor where they  bring in fish regally from all over the bay

I relate the character Kate Barlow and her spiced peaches from this book because some mothers make peaches and take them to fairs and markets.
One time I went to a Stellenbosch market and people had bought tiny peaches in a glass jar for the competition that they had at the end of the day for the tastiest jar of peaches.

Summariser: Carla
In these few chapters Stanley was telling us about how  Kissin Kate kissed the onion picker and everyone trashed her classroom because they did not like it.  And how Kissin Kate left his great grandfather stranded in the dessert.  We also read  that Stanley was trying to  teach Magnet how to write so Magnet would dig half of Stanleys hole each day.  And also how Magnet stole the sack of sunflower seeds and Stanley messed some and he got into trouble.  Mr Pendanskey took Stanley to the wardens office and said that Stanley said he stole the sack of sunflower seeds but he thinks Stanley was just covering up for Magnet so the Warden got angryy and slapped Mr Pendanskey through the face.  A fter that Mr Pendanskey was very mad at Stanley so whenever the water truck came Mr Pendanskey would throw Stanleys water on the ground.

1. What-would be the hardest hole to dig for Stanley.
2. Was-it fair to let Stanley have a day off or not for finding a fossil.
3. Should-Stanley help Zero.
4.  What-did Mr sir and the warden want.
5. Was-it faster to have two people helping each other with one hole or one person dig their own hole.

When Stanley covered up for magnet about stealing the bag of sunflower seeds it reminded me of when friends cover up for friends so that they don't look like the bad ones.

Jo: Stanley got told that the second hole was the hardest because the first day he got lots of blisters and sores on his hands and he was very tired.
X-ray asked him if he ever found any ]thing interesting he must give it to him because he had been at Camp Green Lake for a year and he thinks that he deserves a break!
Stanley found a gold tube and didn't want to give it to X-ray because he wanted a day off.
X-ray showed Mr Pendanski the gold tube and hoped that he got the day off.

The Warden came to speck to x-ray and she was very tall and she wore a cowboy hat and a cowboy boots, she had red hair and nails. She said that x-ray could have a double shower and the rest of the day off. And she told Mr Pendanski to reful there things off water.

Days went by and Stanley got a reply from his mother, that day that he got the reply from his mother X-ray had stolen a bag of Mr Sir's sunflower seeds! He shared the around with he other boys and one of the boys thought it to Stanley and he dropped it in his hole, and the sunflower seeds spilled ever were! Mr sir asked hum what happened and he said that he stole them and covered X-ray by not telling that X-ray actually did it. Mr Sir said that he is going to take him to the warden!

They arrived and they knocked on the door and she said 'come in'.  Mr Sir said what he had done but he said that he thinks that he is covering for another boy! and he is ling to him and he said that he finished the hole sack by himself and its weights 25pounds!

The warden hit Mr Sir across the face with her just painted red nails and her secret ingredient is snake venom! So it went on Mr Sir face!

All the warden said was just go back digging your hole.

Chapters 1-9

There is no lake at camp green lake. Stanley was on the bus to camp green lake thinking of what he did. The judge said jail or camp Green lake. There are only two trees with a hammock underneath where the Warden stays. Stanley Yelnats was the only passenger on the bus with a driver and two cops. The road began to get rather bumpy as the paving was getting worse.
Why Stanley landed up at Camp Green Lake, he was quite big and got teased by his teacher and other children. There was one kid Derrick who took Stanley's books and put them in the toilet then he was late for the bus and had to walk home.

While he was walking home this pair of shoes fell from the sky they were from a famous baseball player.  He suddenly started to run when he saw the police car and he stoped me and that how he landed up hear. The bus polled to a jolt the policemen uncuffed me and said go to the little hut under the trees. Their sat a man with his feet on the desk he said you will have two pears of cloths and if you dig up something interesting let me know. Be careful of the yellow spotted lizard. OK said Stanley. He began to dig my first hole my hands were sore and every part in my body he was the last one two finish. He walked back and got into a shower and that four minutes went so fast over my acing body.

I relate the character Myra from this book to some boys who only like girls because they are pretty and they don't look what's in the inside of the person.
There are apparently game ranger camps where young boys have been tortured if they didn't do what they were told, this is like in the book where the boys had to dig 5 meter holes at camp.
